Android: Disable list categories or item auto-categorization

Disable auto-categorization. Blaze your own trail.

Here's how:

1. Log in and open any Shopping or Pantry list. Open your overflow menu by selecting the 3 vertical dots in the upper right corner and select List settings.

2. The CATEGORIES section gives 3 category sort options:

• Enable categories
• Auto-categorize items
• Show empty categories

To disable items from automatically being assigned a category uncheck Auto-categorize items 

This will stop items from being automatically categorized when added to lists from the "Add items" bar.

To disable all Categories altogether in your lists, uncheck Enable categories
